About Us

 EmpowerED is a small, family-owned business founded by two sisters—a certified educator and a licensed school social worker—who share a passion for helping children grow both academically and emotionally.

As neurodiverse women of color, we understand that learning isn’t one-size-fits-all. That’s why we created EmpowerED: a place where students can feel seen, supported, and capable—no matter where they’re starting from. We believe in the power of personalized learning, inclusive practices, and nurturing strong partnerships with families. Every session is designed with care, blending structure and flexibility to meet each child’s needs.

At EmpowerED, we offer flexible, personalized support for students pre-k through 8th grade that meets them where they are—academically and emotionally. Families can choose from academic tutoring, social-emotional learning (SEL) support, or a combination of both. Sessions can be fully academic, fully SEL-focused, or blended—either within the same session or alternating week to week.

    SEL services support growth in areas like impulse control, behavior management, organization, coping strategies, and mindfulness—all essential skills for confident learners.

  • Workshops

    EmpowerED offers inspiring workshops from creative writing and joyful read-alouds to teacher care, social nights, and STEAM fun. All designed to spark creativity, connection, and joy.
